Attention Business and Community Leaders! Learn more about the important issue of redistricting reform and how it affects our citizens and our communities.
Fair Districts PA is a nonpartisan, statewide coalition of volunteers and organizations working to create a process for redistricting that is transparent, impartial and fair.
Every ten years, following each census, new lines are drawn for congressional and state legislative voting districts. The manner in which districts are determined has a long-term impact on how Pennsylvania’s citizens are represented in government.
Fair Districts PA Chair Carol Kuniholm and three commissioners from California’s Redistricting Commission will be in Harrisburg to testify at a hearing the following day about redistricting reform in the Commonwealth.
California’s successful reform effort has been recognized by Harvard and the Ford Foundation’s prestigious Innovations in American Government award as a national best practice example.
