Say No to Judicial Gerrymandering - SW PA Now Virtual Town Hall

Event Description

Some in the PA Legislature are attempting to gerrymander the election of judges on PA’s highest Courts. With very little public attention, they are poised to pass their bill very soon and get it on the ballot in the May primaries for a statewide referendum. This would amend the PA Constitution.

The need for public education and action is critical. The impacts of this proposal (effectively judicial gerrymandering) on the independence of our courts and the separation of powers would be immense. Proponents have tried to push it forward with virtually no public input and no evidence of public support.

To learn more about the proposed amendment and how it would impact our state, join us for a virtual town hall sponsored by Southwest PA NOW. The speaker will be Doug Webster, a volunteer with Fair Districts PA. The program includes a roughly 20 minute presentation and time for questions and answers.
