Event Description

The AAUW is hosting a public education program on reforming Pennsylvania’s redistricting process. Fair Districts PA Suzanne Broughton will represent Fair Districts PA and Rachel Colker will represent “Draw the Lines.” PA’s current redistricting process and its undermining of democracy will be explained. And a solution to the problem will be offered. Suzanne will also discuss the legislation in Harrisburg and FDPA’s strategy going forward.

Fair Districts PA is a non-partisan coalition of citizens and organizations seeking to reform PA redistricting rules by taking the process out of the hands of party leaders and putting that process into the hands of an impartial, transparent, and accountable citizens’ commission.
