Event Description

Micah 6:8 asks “What does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God.”

The Great Commandment says “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and all your strength, and all your mind. And your neighbor as yourself.”

Fair Districts PA Chair Carol Kuniholm will discuss her own exploration of justice and love of neighbor, and the way that journey led to her involvement in redistricting reform. She’ll explain gerrymandering and its implications for the people of PA and suggest ways for houses of worship to engage.  This presentation, given in her home congregation, will be filmed for use in religious forums across the state.

The event will be introduced by Rev. Nicolas O’Rourke, pastor at Living Water United Church of Christ in Philadelphia and spokesperson for POWER.

This is a public event, with plenty of seating available. All are welcome to attend. The event is co-hosted by POWER (Philadelphians Organized to Witness, Empower & Rebuild) and by the Pennsylvania Council of Churches - Advocacy.
